Hi! My name is Xing, pronounced /sh-ing/. I am a certified dog trainer, and the Founder & CEO of Golden Pup Enrichment, inspired by my Golden Retriever, Mika.


Like most dogs that were bred to work, Mika is full of energy. I remember that day when I finally collapsed on the floor after running around in the park for an hour, playing with 10 different toys, and throwing the ball for the 50th time, trying to "tire her out", only to find Mika staring down at my face, wondering when was I ready to go again. Not only was she not tired, the rigorous physical exercise had strengthened her muscles and increased her endurance - she became an athlete.

Meanwhile, I stepped into my journey of becoming a certified dog trainer, I finally found the missing link to a calm and happy dog: canine enrichment.

I started to integrate mental stimulation into Mika’s daily routine and paired that with passive calming activities like sniffing, licking and chewing. Within days, she became the most content dog at home and outside. She was able to settle while we enjoy nice dinners at restaurants, she stopped caring about the little things that used to excite her, everywhere we went, she would get comments like “oh wow she is so calm”. An enriched dog is a calm dog.

I began sharing our DIY enrichment ideas on social media @goldenpup.mika. Over time, I received hundreds of DMs saying “thank you”, “my dog finally settled after trying this”. While pursuing my dog training career, I also witnessed countless anxious, high-energy, and even reactive dogs reconnect to their calmness thanks to a regular practice of canine enrichment. 

I started this small business to create the best enrichment products with my knowledge as a certified dog trainer, to help every dog connect to their joy and calmness, and to bring convenience into modern dog parents' busy lives.
